Increasing physical activity and reducing a sedentary lifestyle by providing a supportive environment, safe spaces, accessible public areas, and infrastructure that promote physical activity; removing barriers and creating opportunities for physical activity. Based on this, under the coordination of Pendik Municipality, the ‘Citizens reaching the Nature through Orienteering (CNeering)’ project will organize orienteering sports for disadvantaged youth (14-18) and mother-child pairs (mothers with children aged 5-9) in three countries.

1) Preparation Phase:
– Creation of project social media accounts and website (Pendik Municipality – Strategy Development Directorate),
– Implementation of survey preparation activities (Pendik Municipality – Strategy Development Directorate),
– Collection of good examples (Project Partners),
– Development of seminar and training content (Universitatea Aurel Vlaicu Din Arad),
– Drafting of reports (Municipio de Lousada),
– Initiation of preparation activities for dissemination (Project Partners).
2) Implementation Phase:
– Conducting the following activities for youth (14-18) and mother-child pairs (mothers with children aged 5-9) in three countries:
– Seminar and orienteering event (for sports coaches) – (Pendik Municipality – Youth and Sports Services and Strategy Development Directorate),
– Orienteering event for youth aged 14-18 (Pendik Municipality – Youth and Sports Services Directorate),
– Orienteering event for mothers and children aged 5-9 (Pendik Municipality – Youth and Sports Services and Strategy Development Directorate),
– Implementation of surveys (Pendik Municipality – Strategy Development Directorate),
– Celebration of European Sports Week (23-30 September) – (Pendik Municipality – Youth and Sports Services and Strategy Development Directorate),
– Celebration of World Walking Day (3-4 October) – (Pendik Municipality – Youth and Sports Services Directorate),
– Celebration of Erasmus Days (14-16 October) – (Pendik Municipality – Youth and Sports Services and Strategy Development Directorate),
– Celebration of World Orienteering Day & Youth Week (May 21, 2024) – (Pendik Municipality – Youth and Sports Services and Strategy Development Directorate),
– Multiplication Event (to be held in Pendik).
3) Dissemination & Evaluation Phase:
– Monthly newsletters will be prepared and disseminated through social media accounts (Project Partners),
– Activities and work will be compiled into reports and disseminated in various areas of the project (Pendik Municipality – Strategy Development Directorate).
